History and sharing
Find and continue past conversations, organize them, and share one with a teammate as a read-only view.
Every conversation you start in Chat is saved to your history. You can search it, pick up where you left off, keep important conversations at the top, and share one with a teammate who can read it but not change it.
Your conversations are yours. Another member can read one only when you share it with them.
Find and continue a conversation
Your conversations are listed in the Chat sidebar. Search to find one, then open it to see the full conversation and continue where you left off. Nalar keeps the context of what was already said.
A conversation's title comes from the first message you typed. You can rename it at any time.
Conversations you have with Nalar in WhatsApp are kept separately and don't appear in this list.
Organize conversations
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Pin | Keeps an active conversation at the top of your list. |
| Rename | Changes the conversation's title. |
| Archive | Moves the conversation out of your active list into Archived. |
| Restore | Moves an archived conversation back to your active list, with all its content. |
| Delete | Removes an archived conversation from Nalar. Available only for archived conversations. |
An archived conversation still works. You can open, search, continue, rename, and share it, and use every response action. You can't pin it until you restore it.
If you archive a conversation while Nalar is answering, the answer stops first.
Find your place in a long conversation
- Time markers appear above your first message and above any message sent at least an hour after the one before it.
- Message markers run along the side of a long conversation on wider screens. Select one to jump to that message. The markers follow along as you scroll.
- Copy your own message. Hover over or tap one of your messages to copy its text, including any text you pasted into it.
When you scroll up while Nalar is answering, Chat doesn't pull you back down. Use the control that appears to jump to the newest message.
Share a conversation
Sharing gives a teammate a read-only view of the conversation.
Open the conversation's actions
Choose Share for the conversation you want to share. If the conversation has a document or report, Copy conversation link in its toolbar does the same.
Send the link to a teammate
Paste the link wherever you work with that teammate. Only signed-in members of your organization can open it.
What the recipient gets:
- They can read the conversation and copy answers. They can't send messages, rate answers, or regenerate them.
- The view is live. When you continue the conversation, they see the latest version.
- They can't open or download files you attached.
Who can open it: the recipient must have access to every Agent that answered in the conversation. If they lack access to even one, they can't see any part of it. Sharing never gives anyone access to data or Agents they don't already have.
To share only a document or report from a conversation, use its own share link; see Artifacts.
When access changes
If you lose access to an Agent that answered earlier in one of your conversations, the conversation stays in your history. Answers from that Agent are hidden behind a notice, and the rest of the conversation remains. You can keep going with an Agent you still have access to.
Recipients of a shared view of that conversation can no longer open it.
