Personal instructions
Tell Nalar how you like your answers, so you don't have to repeat it in every question.
Personal instructions are a short note to Nalar about how you like to work: the format you prefer, the level of detail, the terms you use. Nalar follows them in your future conversations. Only you can see or edit them.
Write your instructions
Open Preferences
Select your name at the bottom of the sidebar, select Settings, then Preferences. Your instructions are under Personal preferences.
Write or start from a template
Write in your own words, up to 4,000 characters. To start from an example, select Reset to template. It replaces what's in the editor with a starter instruction you can edit.
Answer in short bullet points first, then details. Show money in rupiah with thousand separators. When you compare periods, include the percentage change.Save
Select Save. Until you save, nothing changes: Nalar keeps using your previous instructions. To stop using instructions, clear the editor and save.
Bring instructions from another AI assistant
If you already use another AI assistant, you can reuse what it knows about your preferences. Select Import from another AI. Nalar shows a prompt to copy into that assistant. Paste its reply back into Nalar, and it's added to your draft for you to edit and save. Nalar doesn't contact the other assistant itself.
See earlier versions
Select View history to see your previously saved instructions, newest first. Viewing history doesn't change your current instructions.
What instructions can't do
Personal instructions shape how Nalar answers. They can't change what it's allowed to do. They can't:
- give you access to an Agent or data you don't already have
- override your company's rules for Nalar
- make Nalar take an action you haven't confirmed
They also don't change answers you've already received, and Automations don't pick up changes you make later.
