Member WhatsApp access
Turn WhatsApp access on or off for members of your workspace.
A member can talk to Nalar on WhatsApp only after a Workspace Owner or Admin turns on their WhatsApp access. You do this from Settings > Members & Roles.
Turn access on or off
Find the member
Search for the member in Members & Roles. Their WhatsApp column shows one of three states:
- Enabled: they can use Nalar on WhatsApp.
- Not enabled: they have a number, but access is off.
- Missing number: there's no number for them in your HR roster yet.
Change it from the row menu
Open the menu at the end of the member's row and choose Enable or Disable. The change applies straight away, without a confirmation step.
When the number is missing
You can't type a number in yourself. Numbers come from your company's HR-approved roster. Ask whoever owns that roster to add the number, then contact the Nalar team so it reaches Nalar. Once it's there, you can enable access.
What access does and doesn't do
- WhatsApp access lets a member message Nalar and receive their Automations on WhatsApp.
- It doesn't give them any new Agents or data. Nalar answers with the access they already have.
- It doesn't change their phone number.
For WhatsApp to work at all, the workspace's WhatsApp number also has to be connected. See Workspace WhatsApp connection.
