Business Context
The company profile every Agent reads, and how to get it corrected.
Business Context is a single document about your company that every Agent reads before it answers. It's how Nalar knows what your company does, what you're focused on this quarter, and the terms you use, without anyone repeating it in every question.
Workspace Owners and Admins can read it in Settings > Business Context. Department Heads and Staff can't open it, but their Agents still use it.
What it contains
| Section | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Overview and industry | What your company does, its industry, headquarters, type, and size |
| Departments | Your active departments, matching the Department Agents on the Agents page |
| Mission and current quarter focus | Your long-term direction and current priorities |
| Products and lines | What you sell, in your own terms |
| Metrics we track | The business measures you monitor |
| Agent communication rules | How Agents should write and reason for your company |
| Industry glossary | Terms Agents should understand consistently |
| Workspace settings | Workspace name, fiscal year, timezone, currency, and default language |
How Agents use it
- Every Agent, from the Master Agent down to Sub-agents, reads the same document.
- Agents follow your communication rules in their answers.
- Current priorities affect what an Agent points out, but never replace real data. A metric listed here doesn't make its data available.
- When the document and your actual data disagree, the Agent goes with the data and tells you about the difference.
- Business Context never gives anyone access to an Agent or data they don't already have.
Getting it corrected
The document is read-only in the app. If something is wrong or out of date, ask Nalar Support. Someone on your side needs to confirm the correct fact, priority, or term, and the Nalar team updates the document.
