Automations from WhatsApp
Create a reminder or a recurring message by asking Nalar in a WhatsApp direct message.
You can set up an Automation without opening the app. Ask Nalar in a WhatsApp direct message, and it creates the Automation and sends you a receipt. The results arrive in the same chat.
Ask for it
Write what you want and when, in one message:
Every Monday at 8 am, send me last week's sales summary.Remind me tomorrow at 2 pm to send the vendor contract to legal.Nalar can create two kinds of Automation from WhatsApp:
- One-time, for a specific date and time in the future.
- Recurring, on the same schedules you can choose in the app.
If something is missing or unclear, such as the time or which day, Nalar asks you about it and doesn't create anything until you answer.
Read the receipt
Once the Automation is saved, Nalar replies with a receipt that shows:
- the Automation's name
- whether it's one-time or recurring
- the date and time, or the schedule, with the time zone
- the Agent that will do the work
- where the results go: this same chat
A receipt means the Automation was saved. It doesn't guarantee that every future run will succeed.
What you can't do from WhatsApp
- Send results to someone else. Automations created in WhatsApp go only to you, in the same direct message. They never go to a group, another member, or Email.
- Create one from a group. In a group, Nalar asks you to message it directly or use the app instead.
- Create dashboards or metric alerts. Do that in the app.
- Edit or manage it. To edit, pause, resume, delete, or test an Automation, or to see its past runs, open Automations in the app. Automations you created in WhatsApp are listed there with the rest.
Your direct messages with Nalar need to be switched on for your workspace. If Nalar doesn't respond, ask your workspace admin.
